MBC has announced that its channels have stopped broadcasting the Turkish drama, which is highly watched across the Middle East.

"All Turkish dramas have been completely put out of the group's channels in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as of early March and until further notice," spokesman Mazen Hayek said.

The head of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Uztürk Oran, replied that if MBC's decision to stop Turkish drama on its channels was a stand against Turkey, we as investors see it as increasing our resolve.

"There is great sympathy with the Turkish and Turkish series in this geographic region, and the main annoyance is the result," he said in a statement.

He pointed out that the decision to ban will be lost, because Turkish soap operas play an important role, and connect millions on television screens, not only in the Arab region, but in all parts of the world.

He stressed the lack of sufficient force to prevent Turkish production, and Abizaid: "The prohibition of our series means a decrease in the number of followers of these channels, and there are many channels that address the Arab world other than MBC."
