The National Center for Cinema and Image (CNCI) held, under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, on Monday 25 February 2019 at the Chapiteau Binkadi, Revolution Square in Ouagadougou as part of the FESPACO Festival, a press conference to present the Sentoo project and its strategic objectives aiming to support the African filmmakers and the promotion of African Cinemas.

This conference took place in presence of the CNCI's African counterparts including the CCM (Morocco), FOPICA (Senegal), CNCM (Mali), the General Direction of Cinema and Audiovisual at the Ministry of Culture of Burkina Faso and the CNCN (Niger). During this conference, Chiraz Laatiri, General Director of the CNCI announced that the "SENTOO" project is devoted to the support and the development of the African cinematographic projects.

It works to promote the south-south cooperation, especially co-productions between countries in the sub-Saharan Africa and in North Africa.

This press conference was preceded by working days during which a meeting was held with the participation of partners of the cooperation project South-South Sentoo in Ouagadougou in presence of Mrs. Chiraz Latiri, Director General of the CNCI, Hicham Falah Artistic Director of the Sentoo project, Hien Sankar Armel Director General of Cinema and Audiovisual at the Ministry of Culture of Burkina Faso, Sani El Hadj Magori, Director General of the National Cinema Center in Niger, Hugues Diaz from Senegal (FOPICA ), Germain Coly from the Department of International Cooperation at the Senegalese Ministry of Culture, Alex Moussa Sawadogo Associate Member at the Ouaga filmlab, Pierre Barrot from the International Organization of La Francophonie, Faissol Gnonlonfin producer and consultant of the Sentoo project, Emira Ben Saad the coordinator for the Sentoo project, Karima Amirat responsible of communication.
