American actor George Clooney said he had a chronic illness that prevented him from sleeping at night.

According to CBS News, the reason is that he felt severe pain in his back from an accident in 2005 while filming "Syriana".

The incident caused a fracture in his spine and a continuous leakage of the cerebrospinal fluid.

Clooney pointed out that since the accident he was taking drugs to get rid of his pain, but that some of the drugs that sustain them can lead to addiction

But the 55-year-old actor knows full well that his pain will not disappear and that he will remain among the millions of people suffering from the disease.
