On this occasion, M. Mohamed Zinelabidine, Minister of Cultural Affairs, stressed the quality of the relations between Tunisia and China, while highlighting the richness and diversity of the cultures of the two countries. He added that this event should be considered as the starting point for a joint action for the enhancement of the Chinese heritage in Tunisia and the Tunisian heritage in China in a cooperation in the benefits of both countries. The minister said that this exhibition was previously scheduled in another national cultural space and that it was just to give it its real dimension that a decision was taken to implement it at the City of Culture, the pole of all cultural poles, which has just been inaugurated.
For his part M. Li Yi, Vice-President of the Federation of Men of Letter and Artists of China, expressed his great happiness to attend the opening of this exhibition which represents a reflection of the Chinese art of porcelain. He said that Tunisia is a country with a long history and a diverse culture, while highlighting the importance of this exhibition with regard to its cultural and aesthetic content.
The works exhibited in this exhibition are the creations of Chinese artists specialized in porcelain. They offer to see a sample of the diversity of Chinese art, with its very old history through 27 paintings and 19 porcelain vases with high techniques of merging ancient processes with the most modern techniques.
