Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:-- Polish-French director Roman Polanski faces an accusation of rape, threatening the chances of success that will be shown in cinemas.

Polanski may have raped photojournalist Valentin Munier in Switzerland in 1975 when she was 18, she said. Valentin Munier spoke about the rape in Le Parisien to add to the accusations of other women in recent years.

She said she did not file a complaint, but confirmed that she wanted to disclose the case because of the release of the film "Jacuz" (accused), which deals with the famous Dreyfus case based on a judicial error.

Valentin Munier, a photographer who worked as a model in New York and was represented in some films in the 1980s, says that Polanski beat her until she succumbed to rape after skiing in his chalet in Gstaad (Switzerland).

Her lawyer, Herve Tamim, told Le Parisien newspaper that Roman Polanski "strongly objects to the accusation of rape," pointing out that the allegations go back 45 years "and have never been brought before the judiciary."

Roman Polanski remains in the United States on charges of having unlawful sex with a minor in 1977, but fled the United States before his final sentence.
