The Lebanese Public Prosecutor in Mount Lebanon has claimed the husband of the actress Nancy Ajram, Dr. Fadi Al-Hashem, for the crime of intentional killing, and in the case of legitimate self-defense.
The thief had sneaked into the villa of the actress Ajram in "New Sohaila" about twenty kilometers north of the capital Beirut, and he was masked and armed with a pistol, and threatened the owners of the house with the aim of stealing.
After unloading the security cameras, it became clear that the man had sneaked a masked man into the villa with a weapon that later turned out to be not real, before al-Hashem surprised him and there was a break between them.
The forensic report, after examining the dead man's body, showed that the 31-year-old infiltrated thief had been killed by sixteen bullets that struck different parts of his body.
Al-Hashim had been arrested shortly after the incident for legal action, but he was released after two days, and he remained under investigation and prevented from traveling.
Judicial sources indicated that Article 549 stipulates the punishment of hard labor for up to 15 years, but its sympathy for Article 229 gives the defendant mitigating reasons and provides legal justifications for the reasons that prompted the defendant to shoot to prevent the risk of death for him and his family.
Aoun referred the prosecution to the first investigating judge in Mount Lebanon and requested that investigations be carried out and necessary measures be taken in light of the results of the investigation.
