The theft took place from inside the King's Palace in Marrakesh Luxury watches of the King of Morocco, Mohamed VI, were stolen from inside his palace in the southern city of Marrakech.

The Ministry of Palaces filed a complaint about the disappearance of several valuable watches belonging to the king in strange circumstances.

Among those involved in the robbery was a former employee of the Marrakesh Palace - the main defendant - and a security officer and several jewelers, all accused of founding a criminal gang, theft and collusion.

The number of accused persons has reached 25, and they are being tried. The main defendant admitted to stealing hours from inside the palace.

The watch was dismantled to extract precious stones or gold, and they tried to sell it in different places in the country.

The Moroccan press, which dealt with the matter, confirms that the group has stolen other valuable things that it did not detail, and adds that its members face charges such as "revealing secrets" and "misuse of trust", in addition to "prescribed theft", which are crimes that may take several years in prison .

King Mohamed VI has an important collection of luxury watches, the most famous of which is the unique piece of the Swiss brand (Patek Philippe), with a value ($ 13 million), which in 2018 aroused the interest of many Moroccan media and citizens on social networks.
