Taeb was appointed as an advisor to the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, but many view this as a mere cover for the dismissal decision.
This announcement came after leaks from platforms close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards stating that Taeb had been removed from his post.
// Hossein Taeb, 59, took over the IRGC's intelligence leadership in 2009, and worked closely with the Iranian regime's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. //
And the leaks did not talk about the dismissal of Hussein Taeb only, during the past days, as it was reported that he was subjected to an assassination attempt.
This dismissal came after a series of recent assassinations of Revolutionary Guard officials and nuclear scientists, and some believe that the dismissal was caused by the Guard's failure to confront these assassinations attributed to Israel.
A week ago, Taeb's name was mentioned in Israeli media reports, which said that he was responsible for planning to target Israelis in Turkey, which has been thwarted so far.
Those reports indicated the loudness of voices inside Iran to dismiss this official because of his repeated failures internally and externally.
