Prosecutors summoned 12 eyewitnesses, who testified that Sims had won the trust of the victim's relatives and told them that she was a skilled beauty expert and wanted to help them prepare the body for the funeral.
Instead of helping prepare the body for the funeral, Sims removed a section of the victim's body, stole her shoes and scratched her face.
Shina Loren Sims was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
