The struggle for survival lasted 40 minutes between a crocodile and an anaconda in the Cuiaba River in Brazil, where the photographer was on a boat trip in the river.
"How did the crocodile get into this predicament?" Sullivan asked. Because the anaconda certainly took a long time to get around the crocodile, immobilizing some of its legs.
According to "Sullivan": During the conflict, the crocodile was trying to free itself from the deadly grip in vain, as it was gasping to breathe some air, while the anaconda was increasing its grip more and more.
The chances were equal between the two beasts, and with the passage of time the scale began to tilt towards the victory of the anaconda, and then, very quietly, the crocodile descended under the water, and then climbed again while chained to the serpent, the anaconda was looking for air.
Then the two of them landed again, and shortly thereafter the crocodile appeared on the surface of the water, but this time it was alone.
"After we saw the crocodile, our eyes kept watching this spot of the river where the struggle took place, and finally we watched the anaconda climb up the river bank and slide back to the hole it came from before the battle," Sullivan says.
Sullivan commented: So the battle ended in a draw, without the victory of one of the giants, neither of them died, but certainly there are some wounds and injuries.
According to the British newspaper, “The Sun”, two years ago, a giant anaconda snake wrapped its body on a two-meter caiman crocodile.
