The Boeing 707, carrying meat from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, was forced to land at Fatah airport. The flight engineer was taken to hospital and 10 people were killed.
The pilot failed to land on the runway, to hit the airport wall and fall into a residential town near the airport, and the plane was not affiliated with domestic airlines.
The emergency spokesman said that the flight was carrying 10 crew members, stressing that emergency units had sent a helicopter and more than 10 ambulances to the site of the incident.
A spokesman for the Iranian Civil Aviation Authority, Jafarzadeh, said that the plane was belonging to the Kyrgyz Air Police, with 10 people on board.
